Deans Computer Repairs T&Cs - Terms and Conditions

 

Before having services or products from Deans Computer Repairs you are notified of the following terms and conditions as follows.

 

  • We do advise that clients should take photographs of their equipment including serial numbers are taken before the equipment comes into our offices that is provided to Deans Computer Repairs.

 

  • Before we leave your house or premises for any equipment that Deans Computer Repairs or our contractors has worked on that it is your responsibility to check that you are happy with the physical and cosmetic condition of your equipment before we leave your house or premises.

 

  • Please note that when you pay for fast track service, that your equipment goes into the into a queue if there is a queue. We suggest that you ask the technician if there are any jobs already in the fast track queue and you can also ask the technician how many jobs are in the fast track queue if you require. The technician will provide you with the time and date estimation of when the work will start and finish. Please note that the fast track service does not guarantee the exact date and time when the work will start and finish, we can only give estimations with the fast track service. Please note that if you pay for fast track service before or on any Sunday in the 365 days a year then we have to make you aware that the fast track service is not guaranteed that your equipment will be worked on or repair completion on a Sunday.

 

  • The cost for fast track service is - £50

 

  • Please note that the fast track service is a non-refundable even if the service is cancelled at any date or time.

 

  • If our fast track service does not meet your requirements then the fast track technology emergency service may be the better option, which means that we can organise one of our technicians to be dedicated to your job. The technician can be available on Monday to Sunday from 8am to 10pm and if necessary made available before or after our normal hours of between 8am to 10pm.

 

  • Please contact us at your preferred contact method and ask for how much fast track technology emergency service costs if you would like this service.

 

  • The first hour for the fast track technology emergency service is a minimum service cost and then every hour after the first hour is charged.

 

  • Please note that the fast track emergency technology service is non-refundable even if the service is cancelled at any date or time.

 

  • Please note that the costs and conditions are the same for diagnostics if you are using our fast track or fast track technology emergency service.

 

 

  • Safety notice to parents or guardian. Please note that when Deans Computer Repairs or any of our subcontractors sends items by courier or post to any of its clients that all types of packaging must be kept away from children at all times.

 

  • Due to a large volume of clients cancelling appointments with us, we now have to take a non refundable deposit which will be set at the time of the booking, before any appointment + callout or any labour or products is undertaken by Deans Computer Repairs or any of our sub contractors.

 

  • If the client decides to cancel or does not come to the appointment then there will be a administration fee of £50 for every appointment that is cancelled and if the client does come to the appointment.

 

  • The No Call Out Charge does not apply at any date or time for our courier to collect or deliver equipment to any clients premises.

 

  • Please note that clients providing equipment to our technicians or our courier that you are agree to all our terms and conditions on our invoice and website https://www.deanscomputers.net before the clients equipment leaves your premises.

 

  • If you cancel our courier collection or delivery then we as Deans Computer Repairs will charge a administration charge of £30 for every cancellation.

 

  • You are required to notify us if your packaging that is being collected by our courier is larger that the following weight and measurements - Weight: 30Kilograms - Length:60cm - Width:60cm - Height:60cm - If you do not notify us then there will be an estimated fee of £50 to pay us.

 

  • Any kind of abuse given to Deans Computer Repairs company or members of staff including our subcontractors will result in all work being stopped and the relevant authorities will be informed.

 

  • If a invoice is not paid to us the first action is that the debt will be transferred to out debt collection department there will be an additional £50 charge as well as any late payment fees + storage fees + daily interest rate of 8% of all costs that are incurred. If the invoice is still not paid after our debt collection department has tried to recover the debt then the amount will be transferred to a small claims court with a additional administration fee of £50 plus court fees. Small claims court fees will depend on the total amount the debt is.

 

  • Please note we do not charge VAT on any of our services or products.

 

  • We operate a zero tolerance abuse policy. Any abuse that is given to any members of staff or subcontractors at Deans Computer Repairs will mean a immediate refusal of service or products.

1. You agree and give your full permission to provide Deans Computer Repairs or our subcontractors all your information provided by you on the invoice and the terms and conditions.


2. You agree with the price of services and products as described on the invoice.


3. You agree and give authorisation that Deans Computer Repairs can carry out the work as described on the invoice.


4. You agree with the Terms and Conditions on www.deanscomputers.net


5. You agree and give authorisation that Deans Computer Repairs can repair and can carry out any services or products on any equipment that you provide Deans Computer Repairs even if any of the equipment that you provide Deans Computer Repairs is under warranty with a company, person or other provider. You agree that Deans Computer Repairs holds no responsibility whatsoever if your warranty with a company, person or other provider becomes invalid through Deans Computer Repairs providing any services or products on any equipment that you provide Deans Computer Repairs.


6. You agree that it is your responsibility to declare and provide documentation to Deans Computer Repairs for any software, hardware, or physical damage known to your knowledge for any equipment that you provide to Deans Computer Repairs.


7. You agree for the work stated on the invoice that if you require to make a payment for current or future services and products provided by Deans Computer Repairs by credit or debit card via the payment machine terminal or over the phone that you agree and authorise to give your credit or debit card details to Deans Computer Repairs to process your payment for services or products provided by Deans Computer Repairs.


8. You agree for current and future that if you provide your credit or debit card details to Deans Computer Repairs that you give Deans Computer Repairs authorisation to process your credit or debit card details on the card machine without you being present for services or products that Deans Computer Repairs provides you.


9. You agree if you dispute your card transaction resulting in a chargeback on any credit or debit card payment made by you or anyone on behalf of you over the telephone or by chip and pin by the card machine, there will be a £30 administration charge to cover for this service for every individual transaction made.


10. You agree that at any date and time Deans Computer Repairs has the right and authority to sub contract any work that you or anyone on your behalf gives to Deans Computer Repairs.


11. You agree at any date or time that Deans Computer Repairs shall not be liable for loss of data, passwords, data stored in web browsers, loss caused by virus, loss of income or profit. You the customer assumes total responsibility for data backup. We make every effort to ensure the safety of your data but can not be held responsible for any data loss which occurs. By leaving any of your equipment with Deans Computer Repairs or our sub contractor you are agreeing to the terms and conditions on this document.


12. You agree that it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that their data is secure Deans Computer Repairs will if possible secure any data that is on the equipment, provided the location of the data is stated by you, however under no circumstances will Deans Computer Repairs be held responsible for any data loss.


13. You agree that any services and products that Deans Computer Repairs provides you does not come with a No-Fix-No Fee policy plus including, inspection, diagnostics, and priority service that the charge for these services will be required in full and are all non-refundable even if we cannot repair any equipment you have provided us before and after the services are provided from the date and time of the invoice.


14. You agree that inspection, diagnostics and priority service are non-refundable services even if you or anyone on your behalf decides to cancel the services after confirming the invoice, verbal agreement or authorisation on the telephone, payment over the telephone, text, e-mail, letter, post, bank transfer, PayPal, any form of payment has been made to Deans Computer Repairs.


15. You agree that when you confirm for any services or products by invoice, verbal agreement or authorisation on the telephone, payment over the telephone, text, e-mail, letter, post, bank transfer, PayPal, that Deans Computer Repairs will require full payment before ordering and proceeding with services and products and are non-refundable even if you or anyone on your behalf decides to cancel after any form of payment has been made to Deans Computer Repairs.


16. You agree that when you leave a voicemail message on 01792883450, 07745908670, 08001777686, that the voicemail message will be recorded for quality, confirmation, and verification purposes, and you agree what is stated on Deans Computer Repairs Terms and Conditions.


17. You agree that at any date and time that when you telephone 08001777686 that the call will be recorded for verification and confirmation purposes, and when Deans Computer Repairs contacts you by telephone that calls may be recorded for verification and confirmation purposes.


18. You agree that when you confirm to go ahead for any services or products by invoice, verbal agreement or authorisation on the telephone, payment over the telephone, text, e-mail, letter, post, bank transfer, PayPal, that this is a binding contract of commitment from you, and once you have confirmed the costs agreed by you, that the agreed costs for any services and products is non-refundable.


19. You agree that when you issue a payment to Deans Computer Repairs for any services or products by means of invoice, verbal agreement or authorisation on the telephone, payment over the telephone, text, e-mail, letter, post, bank transfer, PayPal, between you and Deans Computer Repairs that this is a binding contract of commitment from you for the services or products ordered and once this money has been paid to Deans Computer Repairs that the funds are non-refundable.


20. You agree that Deans Computer Repairs holds no responsibility and Deans Computer Repairs cannot be held liable for any delays of the delivery postage times, which means that any services or products by means of invoice, verbal agreement or authorisation on the telephone, payment over the telephone, text, e-mail, letter, post, bank transfer, PayPal, between you and Deans Computer Repairs that this is a binding contract of commitment from you for the services or products ordered and once this money has been paid to Deans Computer Repairs that the funds are non-refundable.


21. You agree that whilst your computer or any equipment that you provide to Deans Computer Repairs with us in our premises or in our subcontractors office that you agree that Deans Computer Repairs accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any financial loss to yourself or your business from the date and time of the invoice until the date and time you receive your equipment back.


22. You agree that at any date and time that if Deans Computer Repairs or any our sub contractors leaves any equipment at your property or premises that the equipment remains the property of Deans Computer Repairs or our subcontractors.


23. You agree that at any date and time that if Deans Computer Repairs or any our sub contractors leaves any equipment that is the property of Deans Computer Repairs or our subcontractors in your property or premises, that if you or anyone on your behalf decides to touch or interrupt the equipment in any way that Deans Computer Repairs will still charge from the date and time whatever the agreed services or products by means of invoice, verbal agreement or authorisation on the telephone, payment over the telephone, text, e-mail, letter, post, bank transfer, PayPal, by you or any one on your behalf of the work and you or anyone on your behalf may still be charged further costs to cover any inconveniences or damage caused to Deans Computer Repairs or our subcontractors equipment.


24. You agree that it is the decision of Mr Dean Davies at Deans Computer Repairs that if Deans Computer Repairs or our subcontractors finds that if our equipment is touched or interrupted in any way may also result the complete cancellation of work in the complete cancellation of work in progress or work planned.


25. You agree that whilst Deans Computer Repairs provides remote assistance to you, if you or anyone one on your behalf decides to interrupt or cause any disruption or changes to any work that is being in progress that this could mean that this could mean further cost implications or even complete cancellation of work.


26. You agree that from the date and time that you give your hard drive to Deans Computer Repairs or our sub contractors for data recovery, inspection or diagnostics purposes, that Deans Computer Repairs is not liable for any financial loss for anything to you or your company incurred whilst the hard drive is with Deans Computer Repairs from the date and time of the invoice.


27. You agree that whilst your hard drive is with Deans Computer Repairs for data recovery, inspection, diagnostics, hard drive rebuild, that the charge for these services will be required in full before the work is undertaken and are all non-refundable even if we cannot recover your data from the date and time of the invoice.


28. You agree that Deans Computer Repairs is not liable for any loss or damage including any financial loss that is made to any services and products that is sent to us by post or transit at any date and time.

29. You agree that Deans Computer Repairs is not liable for any loss or damage including any financial loss that is made to any services and products that is sent from Deans Computer Repairs to any of our sub contractors at any date and time.


30. You agree that your equipment may require a reinstall of the operating system. This involves removing ALL programs and data from the equipment. You agree that any programs that the customer would like reinstalled by Deans Computer Repairs should be provided when the equipment is given to Deans Computer Repairs from the date and time of the invoice.


31. You agree that any additional hardware (e.g. printers, scanners, broadband etc.) will not be installed after a reinstall of the operating system. If you are not able to reconnect the equipment Deans Computer Repairs can offer a service to set-up the equipment for you. Please ask for details.


32. You agree that Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, Outlook and Access) are not a part of the operating system. In order for Deans Computer Repairs to reload the software a legal copy of the software must be provided by you.


33. You agree that for laptops requiring an AC Adapter repair requires soldering on the motherboard whilst rare, this could result in damage to the motherboard. In the event of motherboard failure Deans Computer Repairs will not be held responsible. Where possible a new socket will be used, these are not always available, and in this case a wire will be soldered onto the motherboard which will have a socket external to the laptop (i.e. a wire will protrude from the laptop).


34. You agree that due to the nature of a broken screen repair, on rare occasions faults can develop after the new part has been fitted. This can be caused by the initial drop/impact damage, Deans Computer Repairs is not responsible in any way if damage is caused after a new screen repair.


35. You agree that Deans Computer Repairs offers warranty on screen repair. The warranty is subject to the outside glass having no scratches from drop or other damage We recommend a glass screen protector is applied at all times to protect it from scratches and other damage.


36. You agree that when Deans Computer Repairs unlocks any mobile phone or tablet at any date or time and it turns out that the phone or tablet is blocked, blacklisted, even after the unlock is done that the unlock fee is still chargeable and if the fee has already been paid it is still non-refundable.


37. You agree that when Deans Computer Repairs installs any programs onto your computer or devices that it remains the property of Deans Computer Repairs until paid in full.


38. You agree that when Deans Computer Repairs or any of our subcontractors installs any programs onto your computer for any maintenance and diagnostics that the software would be required to be uninstalled at any time once Mr Dean Davies decides as when required.


39. You agree that if Deans Computer Repairs requires to access your computer for remote access to conduct and provide services or products to you or your business that you give full authorisation for Deans Computer Repairs to access your computer remotely at any date or time.


40. You agree that when you provide any equipment to Deans Computer Repairs or stored with our sub contractor any day in the 365 days, and Deans Computer Repairs contacts you through means of, telephone call, voicemail, text, e-mail, letter, regarding services or products and you or anyone on your behalf doesn’t respond to Deans Computer Repairs for more than 3 days then from the date and time of your first invoice relevant to the product or services that is stored with Deans Computer Repairs or our sub contractor then you will be charged £5 per day storage fee. There may be an exemption for medical, health, and other reasons beyond your control, but it would be at the discretion of Mr Dean Davies. If you or your business fail or don’t pay for the storage fee, this will also incur a late payment fee of £30.


41. If any equipment that you provide Deans Computer Repairs or sub contractor is not collected after 14 days including any day in the 365days from the date and time of the first invoice you were issued by Deans Computer Repairs then Deans Computer Repairs will contact you through means of telephone call, voicemail, text, e-mail, recorded letter explaining that you would need collect your equipment from us and there would be a £5 storage fee from the date and time of the first invoice Deans Computer Repairs had issued you. If the equipment is then not collected for a further 14 days then Deans Computer Repairs reserves the right to dispose of equipment as we see fit. The postage and packaging costs incurred of the recorded mail letter will have to be recovered plus the storage fee of £5 per day will still remain from the date and time of your first invoice from Deans Computer Repairs for the amount of days that the equipment has been stored. If you or your business fail or don’t pay for the postage, packaging, and the storage fee, this will also incur a late payment fee of £30.


42. You agree that when you confirm to carry out services or products by electronic e-mail or text message that it is a binding confirmation commitment from you to carry out services and products that Deans Computer Repairs is going to provide you which means that whatever cost you have committed to by electronic e-mail or text message will have to be paid in full including any additional applicable charges to Deans Computer Repairs.


43. You agree that Deans Computer Repairs has the right to hold and sell any equipment that you have provided us if you do not or fail to pay Deans Computer Repairs for services and products that has been provided by Deans Computer Repairs from the date and time of the invoice.


44. You agree that if you fail or don’t pay Deans Computer Repairs for services or products provided by Deans Computer Repairs within 3 Days from the date and time of the invoice that you will be charged a late payment fee of £30.


45. You agree that Deans Computer Repairs will have to sell all of your equipment that you have provided to us from the date and time of the invoice to cover any unpaid outstanding balance and if selling your equipment is not enough to cover the services and products provided by Deans Computer Repairs plus total costs including any late payment fee or credit and debit card charges then the extra amounts left over will have to be recovered.


46. You agree that when Deans Computer Repairs gives you a price and you qualify for OAP or Student Discounts, that whatever price is stated on the invoice will already include your discounts for what ever percentage discount has been advertised on www.deanscomputers.net

 

47. You agree that any apple products that Deans Computer Repairs repairs or services for you, that if any of the products are locked this sometimes requires the apple product to be re-set and the login password to be changed, failure that you are unable to provide the correct information to re-set the account password to log back into the apple product means that Deans Computer Repairs still has to charge for the cost of the work set out on the invoice and that any other costs incurred will be explained throughout the process of Deans Computer Repairs re-setting the apple product and login information. In the event that the information you give Deans Computer Repairs to enable you to access the apple product, this means that apple may need to see the original purchase receipt to see whether apple will authorise you to log back into your apple product, please be aware that it is not guaranteed that apple can give your access back to your apple product.

 

48. You agree that if you qualify for OAP or Student Discounts that the percentage discount advertised on www.deanscomputers.net does not apply for inspection, diagnostics, priority service, products, callouts, the discount only applies to certain service work for labour which means that whatever price that Deans Computer Repairs gives to you on the invoice for services will already include your discounts. Please be aware that it is the decision of Mr Dean Davies if the discount is applied.

 

49. You agree that if Deans Computer Repairs provides your equipment to our sub contractors and you would like the equipment back that the equipment can only be returned to you if our contractor is open, if our contractor is closed you will have to wait until our contractor is open for you to have your equipment back.

 

50. You agree that when any device that you provide to Deans Computer Repairs which requires diagnostics and states diagnostics on the invoice, means that the charge still applies for us to diagnose any equipment that you provide to us and at the discretion of Mr Dean Davies or our sub contractor may not require or involve opening the equipment for our diagnosis to be completed, which means that the charge for the diagnostics will still be charged at the stated amount on the invoice even if the equipment that you provide is not opened by Mr Dean Davies or our subcontractor at any date or time.

 

51. You agree that when Deans Computer Repairs or our subcontractor states diagnostics on the invoice that the charge stated will still apply to you even if we only quote you the costs for the work involved for any of your equipment with Deans Computer Repairs or our sub contractors by verbal telephone call, e-mail, text, letter at any date or time, and the charge for the diagnostics, quote, is non-refundable.

 

52. You agree that it is at the discretion and decision of Mr Dean Davies if a diagnostic report is able to be done on any equipment, in some circumstances Deans Computer Repairs or Deans Computer Repairs subcontractors cannot provide a full report for the diagnostics because depending on what equipment we need to diagnose, sometimes the equipment that you supply to us may require parts to be changed in order for us to see if the issue can be resolved or for us to move forward to progress with the diagnosis or repair for any of the equipment that you supply to us, please bare in mind that that it is not guaranteed that when new or second hand parts are changed will actually solve the problem and still means that the parts and labour are non refundable.


53. You agree that when Deans Computer Repairs gives you a price and you qualify for OAP or Student Discounts, that whatever price is stated on the invoice will already include your discounts for what ever percentage discount has been advertised on www.deanscomputers.net

54. You agree that if Deans Computer Repairs advertises on the website www.deanscomputers.net the No Call Out Charge means that Deans Computer Repairs will only give you 1 callout with a no call out charge for new customers only, and if you require any further call out services from Deans Computer Repairs that there will be a call out charge for every call out required.


55. You agree that when you pay Deans Computer Repairs by any form of payment for a callout service that it is non-refundable even if you or anyone on your behalf cancels the callout, and it is at the discretion of Mr Dean Davies if the payment is required before the callout service is conducted.


56. You agree that any storage device requires to be diagnosed for data recovery due to a suspected fault or an actual fault that there is a separate charge for the diagnostic fee for the storage device examination at any date or time. The charge for the storage device examination will be stated on the invoice as Hard Drive Diagnostics plus the stated charge on the invoice.


57. You agree that Deans Computer Repairs takes no responsibility whatsoever at all for any new or second-hand equipment that is supplied to you from Deans Computer Repairs or any of our subcontractors for any data or information that is currently on the equipment, deleted, stored or recovered from any of the equipment at any date or time.


58. You agree that Deans Computer Repairs Terms and Conditions applies for the person or company named on the invoice or anyone acting on behalf of the person or company named on the invoice and Deans Computer Repairs terms and conditions.


59. You agree that before receiving services or products from Deans Computer Repairs that the invoice and Terms and Conditions and what is stated on page 1,2,3 of the terms and conditions that it will apply for any future services and products that you or anyone on your behalf requires from Deans Computer Repairs.
